Corrosion Problems Can Be Costly

Avoiding corrosion problems should be a goal of any asset optimization plan. But what should you be looking for?

I saw an article in Hydrocarbon Processing that I thought I’d pass along. It details the standards and test methods to use when trying to stop corrosion under insulation on stainless steel.

I know that we put considerable effort into avoiding Chloride contamination of our stainless steel when I was in the Nuclear Navy and we were largely successful.
